To use a tired snapshot, Samsung had half a year. After the release of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge it seemed to be going well. I had a cell phone that was better than the HTC 10, better than the Huawei P9 and even better than the iPhone 7.But then the explosive Galaxy Note 7 landed and Samsung succeeded. Is it enough that you think twice before buying a Samsung device? In a word, no. The Galaxy S7 is still the best phone we tested this year. Maybe the Google Pixel Phone has something to say about it.

Close your eyes and imagine the Samsung Galaxy S6, but how you want it, not how it came out. Now open it and look at the Galaxy S7. Better? Let’s seeThe Galaxy S6 was Samsung’s response to growing criticism that the design of its high-end models simply did not live up to its price and market position. Okay, a double-glass sandwich with aluminum everywhere is pretty premium, but I had to live without the expansion of the memory, the replaceable battery, and the protection from the elements that were available in the Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S7 marks the return of the microSD slot and waterproof, and while the battery is still sealed (which does not seem to change in the future), Samsung has been much more generous with the capacity of this generation.
Galaxy’s flagship products have always set the tone for images, and their cameras are still among the best on the market. This time, Samsung has gone back to playing a different set of numbers: fewer pixels, but larger, the 12 million of them can detect phases. Very fast autofocus is the promise, and we’ve already seen how the S7 delivers it.
Samsung Galaxy S7 – Design
After the big and much needed change in the design direction that Samsung took in 2015 with the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, rumors spread that things would hardly change for the Galaxy S7.
Well, it’s not like Apple, HTC, or Sony drastically change their industrial design every year.
And that is exactly the case here. Place the Galaxy S7 next to the S6 and you will be forced to choose which one at once. Honestly, it does not bother me at all. The S6 was already one of the most attractive phones, and the Galaxy S7 follows him.
The front and back are covered with Gorilla Glass 4, while in the middle of a metal edge winds. There are two volume buttons on one side and a lock button on the other side. It’s a clean look, with the back free from any brand except a Samsung logo.
The lens of the camera is now aligned with the glass body. It may seem like a small change, but it makes a big difference. Now I can touch an email with the phone on my desk without jumping and swinging from side to side.
In terms of pictures, the Samsung Galaxy S7 comes with a 12-megapixel dual-pixel reversing camera. The rear view camera is capable of taking stunning pictures and recording full HD videos. The dual-pixel technology enables a fast autofocus function. With a 5 megapixel front panel with a 1: 1.7 aperture, the camera can take stunning selfies even in low light conditions. You can also enjoy high-quality video calls through Skype, Messenger and other applications with the secondary camera.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S7 features an octagonal Exynos 8890 64-bit chipset and HMP (heterogeneous multiprocessing) technology, designed specifically for flawless performance. On the other hand, thanks to 4 GB of RAM, you can no longer have latency problems and focus on multiple applications at the same time. For storing applications and personal information such as music, videos, pictures, etc., there is 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB, a microSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 has fast, switchable cells with fast adaptive charging support, which can charge the battery up to 50% in just 30 minutes. The device supports wireless charging. In addition, there is a microUSB port, which allows faster data transfer. Other connectivity options are 4G, WLAN a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. The smartphone also has two SIM slots that allow users to simultaneously use two systems. Available in different colors, the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI.
