The Samsung J lineup is being reorganized and the 2016 logo in the name of the model contains important updates, albeit subtle, which is understandable. After all, it’s the kind of smartphone for Koreans. But the series is obviously important enough for Samsung to add new numbers.

J3 (2016) is here on a boat that is a bit different from his brothers. The J5 (2016) has its predecessor a year ago, as does the J7 (2016), including the J1 base (2016) and the J2 (2016). Without J3 last season, Samsung clearly enriches the selection and it should be mentioned that there is also a Galaxy J3 Pro, but it seems destined only for the Chinese market. It’s also technically a 2016 model, started a month ago.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Details

5 inch super AMOLED display, 1280 x 720
No ambient light sensor or automatic brightness for frustrating use
However, there are some frustrating omissions that reduce the attractiveness of this effective mimicry. The most annoying thing about the Samsung Galaxy J3, the part that is almost alone, would keep me from recommending this phone to friends who are worried about the budget is the backlight of the screen.

There is no ambient light sensor or automatic brightness mode, so you must increase or decrease the screen level each time you go or go home.

At some point, I entered a movie theater with the phone and even turned it on before the trailers started. It disturbed me by the sharpness of two Englishmen standing side by side in front of the door with a lift.

Manual adjustment of brightness is a daily pain in the back. However, it points to Samsung, because as usual, his screen is super bright.

And instead of an automatic mode, there is an external button that charges the boost screen and provides enough backlighting to keep up with the brightest conditions.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 has an 8 MP rear camera combined with a single LED flash. This is a remarkably small resolution sensor compared to cheaper phones, many of which use 13 MP main cameras.

There are a few cheap 13MP sensors today, including Sony, OmniVision and even Samsung. The goal of the J3 is also a standard marsh f / 2.2 adventure.

If I look at some of the photos I took with the Galaxy J3 on a computer, you have much less room to cut, and that means your photos will get very scary as soon as you use digital zoom.

Software and performance

The Galaxy device comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop unlike the J5 and J7 that come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s personalized from Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface with S Bike mode to help you while you drive. There’s also Ultra Data Saving mode, which helps reduce data usage and helps you save money. The Galaxy J3 (2016) uses a quad-core Spreadtrum chipset with a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz, in order to be able to process several applications simultaneously, the smartphone is combined with 1.5 GB of RAM. The device contains 8 GB of internal memory for storage. This is the smallest available storage capacity on mobile devices in this price range. Samsung could have opted for more internal memory, but memory can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

Battery and connectivity

The 2600 mAh battery and the ultra-energy-saving mode are included and can extend the battery life for one day with easy to moderate use. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, GPS, GLONASS, NFC Bluetooth 4.1 and a microUSB 2.0 port.
