Samsung Galaxy J2 Details
The Galaxy J2 features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 964 x 540 pixels and a pixel density of approximately 234 dpi. The screen is bright, has good viewing angles, gives a lively color output, and the visibility of the sunlight is also good. Black is perfectly black thanks to the AMOLED panel. Since the pixel density is low, the text is not clear compared to other smartphones with HD screens.
Since there is no ambient light sensor, you need to adjust the brightness manually using the slider according to the conditions. There is an external mode option that increases the brightness for 15 minutes or until the screen turns off. The smartphone design is similar to other J series phones with rounded corners and a chrome trim on the sides.
The camera interface is fairly consistent between Galaxy phones and the Galaxy J7 is no exception. It’s not as advanced as on a Galaxy S or Note, all you get are ISO sliders, exposure compensation, and white balance, but nothing in focus and shutter speed (the Pro mode button settings if you ask us).
The Galaxy J2 camera is a modest 5MP shooter and has an f / 2.2 aperture. The front camera is an even more modest 2MP snapper that only records 480p video.
The picture quality of the main camera is not spectacular. The colors are good, but the dynamic range is just not right. There is also a lot of noise.
The Galaxy J2 camera also lacks details and if you want to get the most out of the camera, it’s better to choose a sunny day to do it. The shooter also tends to be overexposed and can therefore expect many burns in his pictures.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy J2 with an Exynos 3475 chipset, a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor and a Mali T720 GPU. Both are old hardware, but they do the job pretty well. The Android 5.1.1 operating system uses 1 GB of RAM and loads apps relatively quickly.
The Cortex-A7 processor runs at 1.3 GHz, not at the maximum clock rate of 1.6 GHz, but has managed to cope adequately with our CPU benchmarks. The Mali-T720 GPU was too late compared to the latest offers on the market, but that’s to be expected.
Platform and storage
The J2 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS on an Exynos 3475 SoC with a 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali T720 GPU. The device is fluid and offers uninterrupted performance thanks to the quad-core processor. To support multiple tasks, there is 1GB of RAM. The internal memory is 8 GB to install applications with a microSD card slot, which can expand the memory up to 128 GB. The extended memory can be used to store music, videos and pictures.
Connectivity and other features
There are no LTE tapes for faster connectivity and it has standard connectivity features such as WLAN 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 port and GPS for real time navigation. There are two microSIM slots that allow users to simultaneously use two different networks.
