OxygenOS Open Beta 3 brings Facial unlocking for OnePlus 5

A few days ago, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei announced that the OnePlus 5T facial recognition feature would be “5 due to high demand”. The feature was not included in the phone’s Oreo update, but now it has reached an open beta version of OxygenOS for OnePlus 5.

Open Beta 3 was released today and reaches 1.58GB. The most notable feature is the unlocking of the face, but there are other interesting improvements as well. The December security patch level is included, problems with 5 GHz Wi-Fi connections and vibration have been resolved, and the recorder application now has direct access to the application.
