A new software update for the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 + Review and 5 is being implemented: it’s an incremental update that brings Android security patch for the month of December.
T-Mobil is the first US carrier with the patch for the Samsung flagship pair in 2017. After installing the build number of versions of T-Mo Galaxy S8 and S8 + will have to offer each in G950USQS2BQL1 and G955USQS2BQL1. Users in South Korea have also reported receiving the same update, and we expect there will be more global delivery in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 5 receives a similar update. With a size of 17 MB, the update also offers minor improvements in performance, stability, and bug fixes in addition to the above-mentioned security patch.
If you receive a notification to update the software on the phone, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding. If you have not received one yet, you can manually check the update by going to Settings> About the device> Software Updates.
