[ANNOUNCEMENT] OnePlus 6T Launch Update

Many things have changed over the last 24 hours. On October 8, when you announced the launch of OnePlus 6T, we were convinced that our calendar allows us to maximize the number of people that our message could reach. That changed when Apple announced it will host its event on October 30th. We know that the whole industry and the whole media hold their breath. Imagine what we felt when we learned the date of the last event. After a few minutes, we will prepare our most important and exciting opening event. Then we asked a complicated question: “What are we doing now?

For each activity, you can only play cards. We had a very bad hand. Our challenge was to find the way to make the most of the difficult situation. In a few months, hundreds of people have invested their hearts and minds to create their best product so far. Our goal is to make sure that it will be worth the time and attention it deserves.
But we know that the most important voices are yours: our community. We talked to some of our most loyal users and we know that without your participation, we would not be able to decide on that size. Because we know this change will affect you the most. Booked airline tickets, reservations and plans for booked hotels. Internally, we were incredibly divided in this decision. We discussed the lesson before we came to be one of the most painful decisions we have ever made.

As ambitious and passionate as we are, we must recognize the reality of this situation. There are no winners here. For nearly 5 years, we have been proud to acknowledge the rise of one of the most passionate and powerful technology communities. But we must be realistic. We started at the beginning of our journey, and we can not afford to affect a significant product that is one of the most important products in our history. After careful consideration, we decided to launch the OnePlus 6T Launch event in New York  October 29th.
